There’s often a housey vibe reverberating through the sound of Acker - but this one is proper House in all its sensual, soul-warming glory. Panik Pop & Dario combine the classic elements of this genre in an up-to-date and utterly brilliant way: So Sweet comes with a playful, syrupy bassline, with a repetitive vocal snippet, a hint of trance in the break - and of course with catchy chords. The looping arrangement of Alright, the second track on this release, is also all about danceability and fully cranked-up club-readiness. The simple yet highly functional melody, the strings and pads in the background, as well as the vocal provide plenty of lift and lightness between the tight whips of the beats.
