Petrichor: That special smell that impregnates the air after a summer rain, its sense-enhancing freshness seeping into the consciousness like a soothing tonic. Herrhausen & Treindl teamed up with Christian Hülshoff and dedicated a hymn to this inebriating natural phenomenon. If you're familiar with these names, you'll already know what we're in for: Something that is slow and trancy at an exponentially high level of quality. As if this wasn't enough reason to get all euphoric, they invited two extremely exciting producers to remix this tune. On the one hand there's Pay Kusten who very sensitively steps on the gas and refines the rich harmonies of the original with a translucent layer of tribalistic percussions. On the other hand there's The Micronaut who turns Petrichor into a banging, slightly Acid-infused emotional drama. In face of this threefold goodness we shouldn't forget about Diametral, the second track on this dream of an EP that plays just in the same league.
