The Sound of drums activates very deep, very ancient, very subconscious structures within our brain. Birdsong in the woods has a similar effect, as it spontaneously lowers our stress level and activates a feeling of calm.
The keys of a piano, the chanting of a human voice and the resonant frequencies of a handpan have this kind of timeless magic, as well.
