Flares, the latest addition to the growing string of oddchapters productions, revolves around the brooding surge and fall of a never ending bassline. It's this compelling frequency, and how it escalates through its filter and resonance parameters that glues together the track and sweeps up the dancefloor. Dim rainbow colours reflect melodically from the dark, enigmatic surface of the groove. That the creative flow of oddchapters combines with the ideas of Andy's Echo just beautifully is demonstrated in the Flares Remix: With its rock'n'roll live attitude and its complex, broken drum arrangement, this version moves freely between the notions of Indie and Dance. The Rauschhaus keeps up this remarkably high level of energy: The North German producer channels Flares into a thoroughly melodical, euphoria-drenched affair with a casual piano twist.
