Uncluttered space, focus on few elements and enough room for them to really unfold and shine: Mila Journée understands that such principles do not only work in the tangible world around us, but also in the ethereal spheres of electronic dance music. In Benjamin 136 the talented Brazilian producer spreads out breezy sound textures upon the subtle modulation of the deep groove as if they were wafts of morning mist over a lake. The swirling melody of Fleeting Dreams adds up with the rolling bassline and creates a solid load of energy, yet again the focus remains on the quality of the details, not on their quantity. The eponymous track Memories is the most full-bodied tune on this new EP. In a series of playful breakdowns and buildups Mila Journée stirs up the catchy melody to ever new heights.
